Fourteen Rivers, Fourteen Floods

Day 14 of the 30 for 30 Challenge!  The first snowfall came today.  As you can tell, it did not stick.  Still, people did not venture out of the house.  Except, of course, for the very brave (aka people who had brunch plans with their in-laws).  Since today was cold, I had the best Italian hot chocolate in the city (at The Olive and Grape in Greenwood for my Seattle followers) and warmed up.  I also got some posing advice from Mama Turk: the pigeon toed look is out.
Belted Coat: H&M
Jeans: The Gap
Boots: American Eagle
Bag: Coach (a gift from my Mama)
Beret: a gift from Mama Turk

It's a scientifically proven fact that my parents are the best parents in the world.  Here is proof: last week my Mom knew I was having a hard week and flew from Indiana to Seattle just to spend the weekend with me.  She booked her tickets last minute and flew out to be with me.  How awesome is that??  It pretty much takes your whole day to fly one way, so she really put a lot of effort into her trip.  She also bought me this lovely bag when she was here.  I have been carrying it around since last weekend because I love it so much.  Thanks Mom!!!

I'd argue that the blocks between 80th and 86th on Greenwood has about the best food per square inch out of anywhere in Seattle.

Oh and kuddos to you for making that sketchy little side street look so glamorous in your pictures!

I love your wintery white look (even though it looks like very little white on the ground). Very, very sweet of your mom to come visit you when you were feeling sad...my mom does awesome stuff like that too!
