This One Goes Up to Eleven

Day 11 of the 30 for 30 Challenge!  I don't expect many people to get that movie reference.  Kudos to you if you know the movie my title came from! I'm pushing myself to wear my pieces in new ways.  Today, I'm wearing a dress as a top.  It's a bit too chilly for this this silk dress, but layering a skirt over it makes it wearable.  The ruffled top is my favorite part of this dress anyway!
Top: LOFT (Actually a dress)
Skirt: Merona
Blazer: H&M
Shoes: Jessica Simpson
Belt: Anne Klein
Ring; Street vendor in Hawaii

It was super windy this morning when I was taking my pictures.  My hair got wind blown really quickly.  Eh, wind and curled hair never go well together.  Wind, rain, fog... The perils of outdoor photos when you're living in Seattle!

We were both layering queens today. Sneaky ones, at that! I kind of like the wind blowing in your hair! It's a really pretty last picture. And you can't ever go wrong with black and white and a splash of red!

I recently discovered this trick too (wearing dresses as tops under skirts), and I'm amazed by all the possibilities... you did such a great job here, if you hadn't mentioned it, I wouldn't have known it was a dress! Yay for double duty items!!
