Color Blind

I walked to my favorite picture taking spot this morning only to find that the beautiful teal wall I love so much was covered in chalk!  Obviously we have a WikiLeaks supporter walking around Seattle with a vengeance and some sidewalk chalk.  Oh well!  I promised to bring the color this week, and I couldn't think of a better background than this!
Top: The Limited
Skirt: LOFT
Cardi: Nordstroms
Shoes: Jessica Simpson
Scarf: thrifted

These have to be my all-time favorite shoes.  They are super high, super comfy (as with all Jessica Simpson shoes I might add), and they go with almost everything.  I wore them the first time to my graduation for my master's degree and they were great because I never once feared I would trip onstage.  How embarrassing would that have been?  My entire family had flown in from Indiana to watch me on stage for five seconds, and for me to trip would have been awful (and hilarious).  These babies have never let me down!
What is your favorite thing in your closet?

Girl, you are looking SO FIERCE! What are you up to? Teach me! LOVE the red hair with these teals and blues. So pretty! And your skin looks amazing. And your legs! Am I getting creepy, yet?

I sent you a few emails, but haven't heard back. Did you get them?

Hmmmm that's a toughie...I think either a yellow cardigan or a Pucci scarf. I adore that turquoise cardi of yours!

I love your outfit, have some strong feelings about the message on the wall, but I agree that it's pretty colors and texture. Nice shots!

Cute outfit!

And I thinks its silly when people use chalk on public places; its like: "I feel strongly enough to write this... but I might change my mind so I made it last only two days!"

I didn't know Jessica Simpson shoes were so comfy, I might just have to try a pair! And that cardigan + your hair color = amazing.

First off, you look stunning. This color combo on you is beautiful.
To answer your question, my favorite thing in my closet right now is probably one of my handmade skirts because I'm so durn proud of myself for creating something I'm willing to wear in public!!!

Leaving the House in THIS?!?!

wow you look stunning, this outfit flatters you to no end! I love how it's so classy and elegant but very easygoing still :) my favorite piece in my wardrobe... Aww that one's too hard! I really can't choose! It would have to be the ring my boyfriend gave me for our five year anniversary. But I also can't wait to wear my sailor dress when the weather gets better again :D

I was already in love with your outfit when I aw the tank top and skirt. Seriously, in love. But then I saw the shoes. And I am even more in love.

Plus, I really like the wall with the chalk. Looks more interesting.

I love the print of that scarf (thrifted, really?) against the stripes. And the overall palette is extremely flattering.

It looks like you planned to match the wall, what a fun outfit! Hmm I have a very fickle heart but I'd say currently my favorite item is my new faux leather jacket i got from christmas, my mama has some good taste!

Oh those shoes are divine - I have had Jessica Simpson shoes in the past and agree - major comfy! And this outfit is TOO cute - love it against the teal, chalk graffiti and all!

jessica simpson has found her calling in shoes! they are the BEST!
and i love the colors and styling of this, layered but still light!
and the chalk drawing makes me laugh, probably inappropriately.

I'm loving this nautical-ish look and even though your fave walll was covered in chalk it makes for a killer background.

Let's see favorite thing in my closet goes in spurts. Honestly, it does. Right now the favorite thing in my closet is a winter white knit sweater I bought from F21 only because I forgot to pack a sweater on our trip to DC.

That skirt is so great! You've mentioned loving Jessica Simpson shoes and it's no wonder. They're sassy, look great on you, and they're comfortable?!? We painted a chalkboard wall in our house and I've thought of using it as a backdrop. Dear, now I'll really seem like I'm copying you.

Those shoes are hot, but extremely high! Go Girl. I love the color combination going on here and I think I have that same scarf so I may have to give it a try this week.

ps. My favorite pieces would have to be my red ruffle shirt I wear it with almost everything.

Super cute! I love how you styled the scarf with the striped top! Reminds me of all that super chic resort wear that I always see gracing the runways!
