Our Time and Our Clothes Gotta Coordinate

What a nice day in Indiana.  It's not too hot, not too cold, and there is a nice little breeze blowing.  This week seemed to just fly by, so it was a pleasant surprise to wake up to Friday morning.  I've got some fun plans coming up, so this weekend should be very relaxing and enjoyable.  There's no better way to celebrate a little TGIF than with a colorful full skirt.  This skirt is pretty short, so this isn't exactly office attire or brunch with the parents appropriate.  It's just perfect for a Friday evening spent grabbing some drinks with your man, and spending time with good friends.
Shirt: Old Navy
Cami: Old Navy
Skirt: Gap
Shoes: Mossimo
Belt: Charlotte Ronson
So I had to get a little creative with this button up.  A few months ago, I wore it to a hair appointment and my stylist got dye all over the end of the sleeve.  She was beyond mortified and apologized a hundred times, but like any good corporate girl I have many a white button up in my closet so it wasn't a big deal.  I came thisclose to tossing the shirt in the trash, but I realized if I just roll up the sleeves, no one would ever be the wiser (unless I give my secrets away willingly on my blog of course).
Have you ever gotten creative when a stain or hole leaves your clothes "ruined"?

Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my older brother Jason!  This picture is totally us in a nutshell :0)

I really LOVE this outfit! You look fabulous! I had a dress that got stained the first time I washed it. It's own dye ran all over itself...But, I just cut the top portion off since it was the only stained part and now it's a great skirt.

Cute! And I like how you made it flirty with the peek of the camisole. Nice.

The color on that skirt is stunning and the shoes make your legs look miiiiiles long! I love your creativeness with that shirt. I will confess that I once got a drop of bleach on a red dress and filled the spot in with red pen. Yeah, I'm that classy.

Smart way of handling that problem with your sleeve. When the dye goes a flyin' you never know what'll happen...haha. Poor stylist! I'm trying to think...I know I've gotten creative with safety pins and rolling things up, under and every which way, but not sure beyond that. Probably will do a better job of that now that I'm learning to sew. Love that blue skirt!!

I feel like I can only deal with a stain or hole for so long. A cardi I really like suddenly got three holes in the back. I wore it a few more times just the same, but now I just don't want it anymore... the love just fell through the holes.
