I know... I know... I have been totally slacking lately. I have been thinking about this and wondering why I am slacking on something I love so much. I realized that this blog was started at a time in my life when I was struggling. I was in a relationship that wasn't the greatest, was living 3,000 miles away from my friends and family, and making a weird adjustment from full time student to full time employee. In Kinsey's Closet was a really great way for me to focus on something really positive that made me feel good every day.
Over the past few months my life has really changed. I'm back in Indiana with all my buddies and my family, living in downtown Indianapolis, working at a job I really love, and I'm in a relationship that makes me happy every day. It seems like I don't need to distract myself from my life anymore with IKC, because my life is really perfect right now.
Not that I'm stopping IKC though! I just need a kick in the ass to get back into the groove! I'd miss all my blogger buddies too much to stay away for long :0)
What do YOU do when motivation is waning?
Top: Mossimo
Cami: Victoria's Secret

Boots: Target from years and years ago
It's crazy windy in Indy today. 99% of my pictures look redic because of it. My tripod nearly blew over during the course of taking these pictures. Lesson learned: have someone take my pictures for me on days like this...

I'm happy to hear that your life has changed so much for the better!!!! Hmm, I think it's about balance and time management. Try to set aside a little time for blogging everyday or every other day and if you're not feeling motivated, take a peek at your favorite blogs (you know the ones that really INSPIRED you start your own blog in the first place). :D

I'm so glad life is going so well for you! My blog is a creative outlet - I could see if I was working somewhere a little more fulfilling my blog might fall a little back on the priority list too.
I think you'll get back into blogging when you want to. We'll still be here waiting to see your amazing color combinations. :)

I am so glad that your life is going great! I am also glad though that IKC isn't just a bridge for you, but you will try to stick with it, even after managing all your ups and downs! Glad to keep you even on a random basis. Sometimes a little break or change in frequencies can work wonders!

Hi,
Welcome back! Good to hear that everything is going well for you :-)
Cheers,
Kaelyn
Seems to me we need an Indy bloggers meet up. (never been to one, but I hear they are awesome!) How does one go about putting that together anyway? There are several of us Indy based bloggers that I know and I am sure there are more out there somewhere.
When I'm feeling a little unmotivated, I just go with that feeling and lay low for a while. If you don't take a break when you are needing one, it starts to feel like work, and you obviously don't want that!
Sometimes it is hard to focus on the blog and it;s ok if you have to take a break we understand. But dont go away too long :P

i love this look of red with checkers and I feel ya about wind so annoying.
It's funny how when life is going great sometimes blogging takes a back burner and that's awesome, good for you! Although I have been slacking due to the stress of graduation, getting and internship, and more, but it's okay!
I'll totally follow you! I'm @lizzypunch!
Yay! I have that blazer too and love how you styled it. Following you Twitter...my username is @fashiontherapy.
I really enjoyed this post because I can relate to it. I started my blog when my father was very ill and it provided the right amount of distraction and excitement. From your vivid (=cheerful) ensembles, you'd never guess that you were less than blissfully happy every day. In other words, I'm happy that your life has taken a turn for the better!
