Miami Vice

The weather here in Indiana is overcast and cool for May.  So since there isn't any warm sunshine here, I need to bring a bit of Miami to Indianapolis.  Enter: the Miami Vice blazer.  This blazer also moonlights as The Lab Coat Jacket.  Usually when I wear this blazer I get mistaken for a doctor that just got off work.  I don't mind people confusing me with a doctor, so I usually just play along with it...
Dress: Mossimo
Blazer: NY&Co.
Belt: Old Navy
Shoes: Aldo

I got the idea for this outfit after seeing Kristen Wiig's character in Bridesmaids this week.  She wore a lot of short dresses with oversized blazers.  I have been living in these Mossimo dresses lately (I have it in three different patterns and I'm contemplating going back for the rest), so it was a no-brainer to throw on this blazer.
Where's the weirdest place you get your outfit inspiration?

Um, today's outfit is SO Kristen Wigg's character, that movie was so funny and I loved her style! Side note-if that blazer "happens" to be in our swap I wouldn't be upset:)

I loved the outfit she wore too! I noticed it, and then noticed she wore a lot of blazers throughout the movie. Bad thing: her hair was so cute that it nearly made me run to the salon to get it cut. Then I remembered I have zero curl in my hair and would add 20 minutes to my morning. Long hair still intact!

I hope you take advantage and give people really random medical advice. :)

I get a lot of fashion inspiration watching old Sex and the City reruns. But I suppose that's not too weird.

I have been dying to see that movie. I hear it's really cute. I get inspiration from everywhere too. Obviously, Carrie Bradshaw, but also I just love looking at people on the street. You look great Dr., er, Scientist, er, Kinsey! ;-)
