EBEW: Pattern Mixing

Today's outfit is brought to you by the letter G
...as in ghetto.   These pictures are taken in the heart of the gaheh-toe.  I've taken pictures in the middle of the thunderstorm with lightening all around me, at dusk when I was being eaten alive by mosquitoes, and in a blizzard.  The crazy things us blogger gals go through for a good picture, right?  In the words of my boyfriend (who accompanied me to said ghetto for a photo shoot)  "The worse the neighborhood, the better the pictures".
Top: Old Navy
Skirt: Merona
Belt: NY & Co.
Shoes: Jessica Simpson Collection
 Bracelet: Hawaiian street vendor
Watch: Polo

Today's post is my first contribution to EBEW.  I always make a mental note to create an outfit and link it, but somehow I always forget.  I have always embraced a good pattern mix, so I am happy to make this my first EBEW!

Here are just a few other examples of how I've mixed pattern in the past...

Great pattern mixing here. And I love that you added your past pattern mixing as well. Your shoes are absolutely adorable!

So glad to see you joined in on the EBEW fun! Love this pattern mixing with similar colors, it's so pretty and not "in your face" like other looks. Perfectly wearable! :D LOL, I think your boyfriend is spot on with his "ghetto" observation!

So glad to have you participating in EBEW Kinsey! I love this look AND I'm bookmarking it for inspiration when I wear my new animal print skirt.

Such a great idea to highlight your other pattern-mixing accomplishments, you are obviously a pro at it! I love today's look because you don't even realize there is pattern mixing going on at first because the pieces complement each other so well! Also, your shoes are to die for.

I love your mix. Stripes and animal print? Oh yeah! And, yes. When I lived in the hood in Philly I could definitely get some amazing shots places. Just, not by myself.

Cute! I like the mix of stripes and cheetah print. You do have good photo locations. I am really adventurous and take mine on my patio.

Looks like you're a pattern-mixing pro! I like the stripes with animal print, but the other takes on mixing are great too. Your bf is onto something; the backdrop is fantastic.

You are such a pro at mixing patterns...I'm just getting into it but find it's a little unsuccessful.

You really do a great job of mixing patterns. I need more patterns in my life and then I need to figure out how to do this. My closet is nearly all solids, but your outfits are making me want to give it a try! - Katy
