Going Steady

I don't know what your high school experience was like, but mine was pretty good.  I stayed busy with musical rehearsals, track practice, desperately trying to make sense of calculus, and spending time with my two best friends.  I didn't ever have a serious boyfriend in high school, so I missed out on the wear-your-guy's-letter-jacket-to-the-big-game thing.  I actually can't remember anyone from my high school doing this (or my high school having a big game because we were pretty lame-o in the sports department), but I've seen movies... So when my wonderful boyfriend let me borrow his college ring to wear around my neck, he asked me if it meant we were going steady.  The answer? Totes.
Dress: thrifted
Shoes: xhiliration
Bag: Coach
Necklace: My guy's class ring
Shades: Ann Taylor

Today's outfit is super simple.  Sometimes I feel like I need to jazz up my outfits to make them more blogworthy, but in the interest of keeping it real, this is the outfit I had on.  A simple dress, my favorite sandals, and my best guy's ring close to my heart.

Do you ever feel pressure to jazz up your outfits for the sake of blogging?

I love your pretty dress! I don't think "going steady" was really in in our era. LOL but you wear the ring nicely!

Ya know I used to feel the pressure to spice up my outfits, but lately I am just like WHATEVS, IT'S HOT, THIS IS ME, and I haven't gotten complaints so far :) You're wearing a cute dress with classic accessories in a pretty place...nothing wrong with that, m'lady!

These photos are lovely! You're such a beauty :) and for this post, I'd say the fact you're wearing his class ring as a necklace is pretty jazzy and blog-worthy! Loving it all over here, doll!

That blue is wonderful paired with your amazing color tresses!!

This dress is so cute and looks great on you! I know the pressure too, I feel like every weekend I wear a dress and sandals and call it a day, but goodness, it's too darn hot to add belts and fuss!

I think I used to feel pressured, but I don't let it get to me, anymore. I'm just me and that's all anyone should expect! I LOVE you for you and I love that you have your man's ring on your necklace. So sweet!

No need to jazz up this dress - it's perfect as it is! You look lovely and it's so cute you're wearing your BF's ring now...much better than in high school!
