Texas Tuxedo

I have to be honest: I feel a little cray cray rocking my version of the Texas Tuxedo.  Denim on denim is a look that IMHO always looks a little... ug.  It's a fine balance between stylish and

I am honestly amazed how often I see the Texas Tuxedo worn to fancy occasions here in Indiana.  Graduation? Texas Tuxedo.  Wedding? Texas Tuxedo.  Christening? You guessed it: Texas Tuxedo.  Come on here people!  So, my lovely readers, this is as close as I get.

So, what are your thoughts on denim on denim?  Can it be done tastefully?

Ugh..I live in Indiana as well...and not only do people think it's OK to rock denim to a funeral and church, the most cringe worthy are the DENIM WEDDINGS. Now, yes, it can be done tastefully (maybe?) but anything I've seen it ends up a cowboy/farmer nightmare!

Should I feel ashamed that at one point in my life I looked like one of those old school denim girls? Ah, big hair and pleated acid washed jeans!

btw, love that top you have on! Pretty!

Very cute outfit! I think denim on denim is fantastic if worn correctly. The dark denim looks nice with this top.

You just answered your own question with a very big YES. The combination of light and dark is perfect.

I couldn't tell your pants were denim from the photos. They photographed more like black leggings. Either way, I love the look. You've chose denim in such contrasting colors that it works!
