Secret

My leg is still bruised and scratched up from my little accident the other day.  Enter: the pants.  Anyone who has followed my blog for any amount of times knows I have a semi-aversion to pants.  Why wear pants when you can wear a flowy dress or a chic pencil skirt?  I mean, I guess pants have their place, but that place is usually not on my legs. Since my legs are a little banged up at the moment, I have gone to disguising them with wide legged trouser jeans.  Win?
Top: thrifted vintage
Pants: Old Navy
Belt: Charming Charlie
Shoes: xhiliration
Bag: Coach
Necklace: gifted from my dad

My unfortunate accident has ruined my last few days of warm weather because I'll be sticking with pants and tights until my legs heal.  Or should I?  If I have bruises and scrapes on my legs, should I hide them with pants or just say screw it and wear my beloved pencil skirts barelegged anyway?

oh do i know ALL about this! About a month a go a tripped and fell, skinning my knee (like a 7 y/o) oh so badly. I bandaged it up and away I went. Two weeks later, just as the wound had almost fully healed, I tripped and fell AGAIN - ripping open the wound and making an even larger, nastier one. I was no where near home at the time, so it was about 15 minutes before I could clean and bandage it properly. I contribute the unforunate scaring the second wound has had to this fact.

Nautrally, this happened DAYS before opening night where I work, and I had already planned a weekend of dresses. I tell you what - no where did it enter my mind to wear pants. My BF suggested it, but I distinctly remember answering, "There is no way I'm going to let my skinned knee dictate my wardrobe choices!"

In short, I'm not a lover of pants either (mostly cuz I can never get a good fit), and prefer to wear (pencil) skirts as often as possible. (I tell ya, we're soul sisters.) I'd say just get some good clear strip bandages and keep rockin' those skirts. No shame, lady!

Win. Also win for the way your hair color bounces off the color of that wall. I LIKE.

Hey Kinsey! Everyone understands, if you prefer to wear a skirt and don't mind the bruises showing up in the pic then go for it. Or maybe you can pose a different way. Hope you heal quick! You look great in pants! Have a wonderful weekend! :D
