Specs

I have worn glasses or contacts as long as I can remember.  I couldn't have been much older than 6 when I got to pick out my first pair.  I begged my mom to let me get thick red framed glasses with confetti on the sides, but since she didn't hate my guts she said "no".  My self-esteem still thanks her to this day.

I ditched the glasses when I was 12 and have been wearing contacts daily since 7th grade.  I typically just wear glasses in transit from the bathroom to my bed, so I hadn't bothered to get a new pair in almost 8 years.  I had flirted with the idea of going through an online retailer to cut costs, but since my prescription is so strong the costs added up and would cost me nearly $400.  I wasn't willing to pay that much for something I only wore for 15 minutes a day.

When I was offered a free pair of Firmoo glasses in exchange for my review, I decided to see if I could really find glasses I liked from an online retailer.

The Good
Glasses were really easy to purchase from Firmoo.  They have a plentiful selection, and it seems like there is something for everyone.  I spent a long time scrolling through all of the options to find the pairs I liked the best.  I picked four of my favorite options and asked my hubby to make the final choice.  I went with this pair in tortoise.  I simply entered in my prescription, and my glasses were ordered in less than five minutes.

The glasses arrived quickly and as described.  The glasses were in my mailbox within a week which was much quicker than I expected.  They arrived in good condition exactly as described online.   They are wonderful glasses, and I can see very well so my prescription was correct.  If I had paid out of pocket the glasses would have run me less than $70 including shipping.

The Bad
Unlike some other optical retailers, Firmoo doesn't allow you to "try before you buy".  When you purchase frames you have to hope they'll look good on your face shape and fit well.  Unfortunately, the glasses I received are too large for my face.  They appear almost comical at times.  Had I been able to try a few pairs first, I believe I would have been 100% satisfied with my experience.

All in all, I would recommend Firmoo if you really know your tastes and what you want from your glasses.  If you know what frames look good on your face, you will have a much easier time selecting a pair that you will be happy with.  That being said, I plan to purchase another pair of glasses out of my own pocket so that I can have a nice set of specs that better fits my face!
