Leather Weather

Tis the season for transitional jackets (buh bye winter coats!), and so begins my love affair with this leather jacket.  I have worn this with everything from neon skirts to my jogging pants.  It literally goes with anything, and it feels so buttery that I could almost sleep in it.  I tossed it over my elephant print dress and added some casual sandals (buh bye winter boots!) for night with my hubs.  Also, I need to point out how my husband's aviators make me look like I am rocking one hell of a unibrow.  Remind me never to borrow these again!

March Showers

You can't have all the beautiful Spring flowers without the all day showers.  The rain was really coming down yesterday, but I had about a 15 minute break where I snapped these pics. My trusty leopard print umbrella has been getting a real workout this spring!

Nothing ruins a good hair day faster than the lovely wind and rain mix that you get in early Spring, so I stuck a knit cap on and called it a day.  I used to spend time stressing about keeping my hair curled, but bring on the hats and top knots!  Ain't nobody got time for that!

Boy am I glad for Spring!  Flowers are popping up all over town, and I have a great excuse to break out my pastels.  I typically have a small window of time where I can wear this great pink raincoat, so it may or may not be glued on for the next three weeks.  I am someone who owns several raincoats (acquired during my years in Seattle), but I always seem to gravitate back to this beauty because she makes me so excited for Spring!

PS: You gotta check out my post from this time last year, the outfit is nearly identical!!

Spring Uniform

Spring always means pastels in my book.  I love the look of this coral top and these blue shoes together.  It was finally warm enough to go sans-jacket this weekend, and you bet I took advantage of that!  I wore this outfit to enjoy margaritas and the race with a girlfriend over the weekend, and it was the perfect "early spring" uniform!

Kinsey and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

About a year ago I was visiting a girlfriend in Columbus, and we stopped in a great vintage/thrift shop.  I saw this coat and knew it was going to be mine immediately.  I think it cost something like 12 bucks, which in the thrifting world is like $100,000,000. It has some great 80s shoulder pads that I  considered having tailored out, but in the end decided to leave them.  I kept the rest of the look pretty simple with a blue dress and red sued pumps.

Neon Lights

Hello!  I have had a bit of an unintentionally blogging break thanks to some camera issues, but I am happy to be back to documenting my style.  I find that if I am not actively blogging then my outfits can become a little more basic.  I like the extra push I get from blogging!

Here is my new favorite skirt!  It is definitely not something I would typically buy, but when I saw it on super sale  I snatched it up in a hot minute.  I used to have a neon yellow pencil skirt that is floating around someone else's closet thanks to an unfortunate Goodwill donation decision.   I miss it dearly, so this is the next best thing!  When Scot dressed me for a week, this skirt was the most surprising thing he found in my closet!
