Wind Storm

The things we bloggers do for a few pictures.  A big storm was headed my way, and I knew I only had a small window of time to snap my pics before the rain hit.  You can see the evidence of the incoming weather by how windblown my hair is!  As I was packing up from the shoot the raindrops started to fall.  Perfect timing!

I love this black coat.  I snagged it at my mom's favorite little boutique in Crawfordsville, IN last year.  Most of the items there were out of my age range, but this printed coat stood out for me immediately.  It is actually part of a pantsuit, but I ditched the trousers in favor of a more basic dress this time around. I paired it with these cute silver flats that I nearly forgot I owned!

In Kinsey's Closet Faves | Animal Print

You know what makes me really happy?  Like so happy I'll swing my purse in the middle of the street while onlookers wonder why I'm evading traffic just to get a few good snaps?  When I put together an outfit I love from clothes that have been in my closet for years and years.  No need to go shopping or spend dough on a new item because I have become so efficient at shopping my closet!  It took me a while to really hone in on my style, but once I did I found that I wasn't getting tired of the things I bought.  My clothing gets a lot more mileage because I am really thoughtful about everything I bring home these days.

It's no secret that I am a sucker for a good animal print.  This leopard print top has been in my closet for over 7 years, and I still love it now as much as I did when I first bought it.  Since this pattern has the ability to read trashy I paired it with a simple pleated skirt (probably 8 years old) and nude heels (two years old).  Nothing new here, just some old staples that make me smile.

Check out my outfit inspo for today. Grimace!  I'm digging the all purple look.  This is not a dress, but a closely matched ruffle top with peplum skirt. I feel just grape great!

Cruise With Me Baby

Every year I head to the Indiana State Fair at least once.  It's just down the road from me, and it's super easy to bike down for a few hours.  This is what I wore on my third and final trip to the fair.  Not pictured?  The little bike shorts I had on under the dress to keep from flashing everyone on the trail as I rode down to the fairgrounds!  Also not pictured are the gobs of glaze that are crusted into this dress after an encounter with a messy elephant ear shortly before these pics were snapped!

Millennial Pink

Like a moth to flame, so flocks a millennial to a pink wall.  I topped a basic black tee shirt dress (that I score for 8 bucks!) with an old silken robe.  I typically wear this around the house while getting ready, but today is graduates to "outerwear".

Instagramable Indy | A Guide to the Most Insta Worthy Spots in Indianapolis

I am absolutely in love with this city of mine!  Indianapolis has been my home for over six years, and it seems like it just keeps getting better.  I believe that Indy is a little secret us Hoosiers have.  Visitors are always surprised by the art, events and great restaurants.  Indy is not only a great place to visit (and live!), but has some of the most Insta worthy spots in the Midwest.  Here are just a few of my favorite places!  Most photos are pulled from my personal Instagram account, but the others are linked to their posters!
