The Mother Lode | 80s Vintage Fair Isle Sweater

Over Thanksgiving weekend Scot and I headed up to visit his family in Wisconsin.  I always have so much fun cozying up in his parent's warm farmhouse and spending time playing games, watching movies and stuffing myself on his mother and grandma's cooking! Now on to the fun stuff: y'all I hit the mother lode that weekend.

Scot's Mimi follows along on IKC and had seen my post about my newfound love for 80s vintage, especially shoulder pads!  She took me to her basement where she had kept flawless condition vintage coats, jackets and about a dozen sweaters.  She was planning to donate or dump them, but wondered if I'd like them.  Like them? NO.  LOVE THEM!  I felt like I made the biggest vintage score ever, and it was all free from Mimi.  Guys.  I left with a huge garbage bag filled to top with her old 80s gear.

This sweater was one of the items I was most excited about.  I quickly started dreaming up all the outfits I was going to center around this sweater, starting with this one.  Again, this is the amazing faux suede skirt from Old Navy I purchased in all 3 colors earlier this fall.   It was a little bulky to tuck into a slim fitting skirt, but I think it worked out just fine.  Brace yourselves now to see an avelanche of vintage 80s starting...NOW!
