In Kinsey's Vacation | Disney and Central Florida

Earlier this year my best girlfriend Mandy and I realized we needed a getaway.  We wanted somewhere warm, and preferably somewhere with a beach.  My best friend from high school, Jimmy, has worked at Disney for years so we decided to fly down to Orlando for a week of exploring, beach time and of course Disney World! Here are some of my favorite snaps from our trip!
My high school BFF Jimmy works for Disney!  It was wonderful to catch up!

Drinks on the Rikki Tiki Tavern on Cocoa Beach Pier

Winter Park, FL.  We actually took this pic after having lunch at Shake Shack!  I know it's a chain, but man I always gotta have it when I see one since we don't have them in Indianapolis.

We loved these canned wines!  Perfect for a little poolside relaxation if you have a no-glass restriction.

Snapped in the Park Aire condo complex in Orlando.

I was so in love with all of the bright colors in Central Florida.  Everywhere you look you see pinks, blues, purples, etc.  Gorgeous!

Taken in the U.K. portion of Epcot!

Lastly, my travel buddy Mandy!  We had so much fun together!

2 Chokers

I am shivering just looking at these photos!  As I write this, it is nice and sunny outside (can you call 40 degrees nice?), but these were snapped a few weeks ago when we still had a nice blanket of snow.  This is what I wore for a date night with Scot to a local brewery.  I pulled a straight 90s move by wearing not one but two chokers.  6th grade me would be so proud!

Velvet Valentine

Valentine's Day has been one of my favorite holidays for the past several years.  Scot asked me to be his girlfriends on Vday 2011, so it's been a special day for us for 7 years now!  Every year we prepare a steak dinner with lots of vino and stay in.  So I don't need a fabulous dress to stay in and cuddle with Scot, but let me tell ya- if I was going out this would be my dress.  It's a perfect cold weather dress because of the coverage and soft velvet fabric.  And the color?  It's Valentine's perfection without being a bold red.  I'll tell Scot to picture me in this when I show up to our homemade meal in my gym shorts and favorite sweatshirt... you know, romance?

Winter Weather Staple | Bold Scarves

I am a budget shopper through and through.  I rarely splurge on expensive clothing, because I'd much rather save that money for an exciting trip or an unforgettable experience.  This scarf is the perfect example of this.  I spotted this scarf for $3 at H&M in their clearance section.  I am a big lover of that clearance section!  For $3 this scarf had to be mine.  I've worn it so many times since I scooped it up last month, and I can tell it's going to be a winter staple for years to come.

Winter Style Hibernation

Just when the snow melts and I start to get excited about Spring fashion this happens.  Snow and single digit temps are starting to get me down! During the winter I can feel like a bit of a bear in hibernation because all I want to do is veg on the couch with Scot and a nice home cooked meal.  Maybe like a really stylish bear who loves chartreuse and silk scarves though?
